Bull temple @ Bangalore:
The bull temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Nandi, an attendant, and serves as a mount to Lord Shiva's.  It's beautifully made with a single black stone. 
It is said to be the biggest temple of Nandi in the world. The stone monolith idol of Nandi is continually covered with new layers of butter. The purpose of putting butter is to maintain the smoothness of the stone.
Outside the temple, there is a nice garden where you can sit and relax. It is one of the important tourist destinations in Bangalore.

Special occasion:
Every year on the last Monday and Tuesday of the Hindu month of Karthika Maasa a groundnut fair is held on the temple premises and groundnut is offered to the deity. This fair is known as 'Kadalekaayi Parishe' in the local tongue. Groundnut sellers and devotees throng the place during Kadalekaayi Parishe.

Every weekend and Holiday you will find a huge no of devotees visiting the place. Below are certain occasions when you can expect more crowd.

  2. During Shravan Masa.
  3. During kadalekaayi festival

Parking Places: Yes, there is a parking place opposite the temple. You have to pay for this. Even you can park on the roadside as the government has marked some parking places. 
 

How to reach  Bull temple: 

By Metro: The nearest Metro station is Southend circle which comes on the green line toward Kanakpura road. The frequency of Metro train is good from Majestic. The bull temple is around 5 km from here and one can hire Autos or taxis which come around Rs. 100 to Rs 200. 
 
Buses: There is a government bus stop next to the main gate of the temple. The frequency of the buses is very good. 34, 36A, 37, 43B,45B, 45E, 46A, K3, TR-12 these are the bus nos which goes there from different part of Bangalore like Majestic, Market, Jayanagar 9th block, etc. 
  
Private Taxis/ Autos: The availability of private taxis, Autos are very good near The temple.

you will find a few hotels or lodges near the temple. They are quite costly as it is located in a prime location. You can get a cheap hotel ner Majestic bus stand and use Metro to visit the temple.

You will find many restaurants near the temple. They are reasonably priced. You will find it even better in the Gandhi Bazar area which is just a walkable distance from the temple.
