Mangala Gowri Temple @ Gaya (Bihar)

Mangala Gowri Temple:

Mangala Gowri temple is one of the Shakti Peeth (Ashtadasa Shakti Peeth) in India. Temple is not a grand or big temple in size but very powerful as per belief. It is believed that if anyone visits the temple on Tuesday, his/her wishes will get full filled. Ladies wishing to have a baby visit the temple in large numbers.

As in every Shakti Peetha's either body part or Ornaments of maa Sati is being worshiped, here in Mangala Gowri temple maa Gouri's "Stana" (Breast) is being worshiped. It is situated at the top of the hill called Mangala hill.

This temple has been described In different Puranas like Padma Purana, Vayu Purana, Agni Puran, and also in many spirituals books.  Construction of the present temple was done in 1450 (around 550 years back).

There is just one door which is being used for entry and exit. Garva griha (Inside) area is very small and the number of people enters more which causes suffocation inside the temple.
