Manasa Devi Temple @ Haridwar :

Manasa Devi temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Manasa. It is located in the holy city of Haridwar in Uttarakhand. The temple is on the hilltop of a mountain called Bilway (a part of Sivalic hills the southernmost part of the Himalayan range.

Manasa Devi is considered the daughter of Lord Shiva as she has emerged from the mind of Lord Shiva.  She is also regarded as the sister of Lord Vasuki. The meaning of Mansa is a wish, which means maa Mansa full fill all the wishes of sincere devotees.

There are three Siddha Peetha in Haridwar and Manasa Devi temple is one among them. The other two are Chandi Devi Temple and Maya Devi Temple.

There is a tree inside the temple and people tie the thread to it keeping some wish in their mind. This is one of the important tourist destinations for Spiritual purpose. Please visit the place and feel the sprituality.

Manasa Devi Temple  visiting Timing:  08 AM to 05 PM (Everyday)  

Best time to visit: All time. During the summer it's a bit hot.

Entry Fees: No entry fee for general darshan. You have to pay only if you want to perform some special rituals. You have to pay Rs.160 per person if you want to go to the temple by ropeway.

Here every day is a special occasion as many devotees come here to take a blessing. below are some of the occasion when you can expect a huge crowd

- During the Solar and Lunar eclipse many devotees take bath in the holy Ganga and also visit the temple.
- During Navratri there will be a huge crowd in the temple. 
- During Kumbh, there will be a very big crowd as people from across India visits there. 
- During Magh masa, devotees take a dip in Ganga for a whole month and also visit the temple.
