Jog Falls (Karnataka):

Jog Falls is the third highest (253 m or 830 ft) waterfall in India. It is on the Sarasvati river in Karnataka and located in Sagar taluka under Shimoga district. During the rainy season, water flow is huge which looks very beautiful. 

It is located on NH 208 between Tumkur and Honnavar. It is situated in the Jungle and driving on the single lane road is real fun. Some government accommodations are available which need to booked well in advance. There is a very clean restaurant called Cauvery Bhavan which serves limited food.

It is an ideal place for a day and you can also visit nearby places like Gokarna, Murdeshwar, Udupi, etc. Please visit the place and enjoy the moment.
