Kutafiya Tower @ Moscow (Russia) :

Kutafiya in Russia was called a lavishly dressed young lady. The famous tower at the public entrance to the Kremlin built at the beginning of the 16th century (Around 1516) which protected the stone bridge leading to the Trinity Tower in the Kremlin Wall.

Great architecture! The bridge was originally built on top of a river, which is now only running in pipes under the ground. in the beginning, its height was around 18 m which has reduced to 13 m as its base has been filled with other materials.

It is the only tower in the Kremlin that is uncapped and can be directly seen in the sky. At that time, in the war, many soldiers stood on the top of the tower to observe the enemy's situation in order to respond in the first time and always defend the security of the Kremlin. The Kutafija Tower is the only surviving bridgehead in the Kremlin, which serves as a bridge to protect the fortress.

It is one of the most famous tourist destinations in Moscow and worth visiting it.
