To Improve the defensive system of the Kremlin, Construction of the Northwestern wall was begun in 1493. Its construction was completed in 1495. In the 1680s, all of the Kremlin towers underwent restructuring along with this tower.

Earlier, there was an old white stone tower that was well maintained and known as Grana. In 1812, It suffered from the explosions of neighboring buildings during the French flight from Moscow, the Middle Arsenal Tower was restored in the coming years.

This is one of the very famous tourist destinations in Moscow and thousands of visitors visit there every day.

Visiting Timing:  10:00 AM to 07:00 PM Everyday

Best time to visit: All time. 

Entry Fees:  

For Adults: 200 to 700 Rubles. With the same ticket, you will be able to visit other nearby places also.

No such special occasion but during Christmas and January, Weekends and holidays you will see it more crowded.

Parking Places: Finding a parking place in Moscow is a real tough task and Red Square is one of the busiest places there.

 

How to reach  there: 

Taxis: If you are new to Moscow, better to use Taxis to reach Red Square. You can hire a self-drive taxi but parking is a little problem there.

Metro: Metro is the best option to reach Red Square.  You can catch the Metro to Okhotny Ryad station on the light blue line OR Ploshchad Revolyutsii station on the dark blue line.  You need some local help there.

Buses: Bus facilities are good but I feel it is a little complicated. It depends on which place you want to catch a bus, better to get help from a local. 

Accommodation : 

It is situated in the center of the city and you will find many hotels within 5 km. Hotels are quite costly there.

Food & Restaurant :

It is one of the very famous tourist destinations in Moscow and thousands of visitors visit there every day. You will find many restaurants near it.
