The State Historical Museum is a Russian Museum situated close to Red Square a famous tourist destination in Moscow (Russia). Its exhibitions range from old days civilization to present days Russia. The total number of objects collections is in millions.

It was built in 1972 and was being used as a Principal Medicine Store, few portions were occupied by Moscow University, etc. 

This is a huge building and a unique building with many things in the exhibition and you will require few days to see each item. 

This is one of the very famous tourist destinations in Moscow and thousands of visitors visit there every day.

Parking Places: Finding a parking place in Moscow is a real tough task and Red Square is one of the busiest places there.

 

How to reach  there: 

Taxis: If you are new to Moscow, better to use Taxis to reach Red Square. You can hire a self-drive taxi but parking is a little problem there.

Metro: Metro is the best option to reach Red Square.  You can catch the Metro to Okhotny Ryad station on the light blue line OR Ploshchad Revolyutsii station on the dark blue line.  You need some local help there.

Buses: Bus facilities are good but I feel it is a little complicated. It depends on which place you want to catch a bus, better to get help from a local. 

Accommodation : 

State Historical Museum is situated in the center of the city and you will find many hotels within 5 km. Hotels are quite costly there.
