सीता समाहित स्थल/सीतामढ़ी  Sita Samahit Sthal / Sitamarhi  :

This is a Hindu temple dedicated to maa Sita. It is situated near a small city called Jangiganj which is 11 km from the temple. It is between Varanashi and Prayagraj on NH 2. 

This is the place where Maa Sita enters into the earth in front of Lord Ram to prove her purity which was asked by Lord Ram.

When Lord Ram performed Ashwamegh Yagya almost everyone visited there. Lav, Kush, Maa Sita also visited along with Rishi Balmiki. Lord Ram asked Sita to prove her purity as it was asked by their people. Even if Rishi Balmiki confirmed Maa Sita's Purity, Maa Sita decided to go to her mother (Earth). 

It is a well-maintained temple made with white marble which gives a grand look. It has nice greenery around it.

This is an ideal place for a day visit. You will find other temples around it. Please visit the place and feel the spirituality. 

Visiting Timing:  06:00 AM to 08:00 PM  All Day  

Best time to visit: All time. During the summer it's hot.

Entry Fees:  No. There is Daan Hundi and you can pay your contribution as per your wish.

Airport: The nearest airport is Bamrauli Airport in Prayagraj which is 68 km or Varanashi which is 64 km. The airport is well connected with different cities in India. 

Indian Rail: The nearest railway station is in Jangiganj. This railway station is well connected with major Indian cities. 

 

Buses: The nearest bus station is in Jangiganj. Regular buses are available from different cities like Varanashi, Prayagraj, etc.  

  

Private Taxis: Availability of private taxis, Autos are ok.
