Shri Chaudeshwari Ammanavaru Devi Temple  :

Sri Chaudeshwari Ammanavaru Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Chaudeshwai ( Durga ). Maa Chaudeshwari is the sister of Maa Chamundeshwari. There is a big temple of Maa Chamudeshwari in Mysore (Karnataka) and also one of the Shaktipeetha.  There are many temples in and around Talkadu and this temple is one among them. 

It is located in a village called Talakadu in Mysore districts Karnataka (India). Holy river Cauvery is very close to the temple. People take a dip in the river before entering the temple. 

It is believed that in ancient times there were 30 temples and other structures in 1000 acres of land but due to Shap (Curse), most of the temples and structures were buried in the sand. You can still find sands around the temples.

There is no dress code for devotees but the love in Indian dress. Photography inside the temple is not allowed. You will find many guides and most of them speak Kanada. 

Talkadu is a very famous tourist destination in Karnataka and you will see many places around it. I am sure you will love being in Talkadu. 

VisitingTiming:  07:30 AM to 01:30 PM & 05:00 PM to 08:00 PM Everyday. During festival it is open for whole day.

Entry Fees:  No for general darshan. You have to pay only if you want to perform some special rituals. Rates for those rituals are mentioned on the board.
