Adhishakthyathmaka Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple: 

The Annapoorneshwari Temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to the goddess Annapoorneshwari (Annapoorna) an incarnation of Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva. It is also known as Sri Kshetra Horanadu Temple.  Maharshi Agastya established the icon of the goddess here.

The word Annapoorna is made of two words Anna meaning grains and Poorna meaning complete. Hence, Annapoorna means who provide complete grains which is a need to survive. It is believed that if one visit Devi Anapoorna, will never go without food in their lives.

The temple is situated on the banks of river Bhadra surrounded by natural vegetation, forest, green lands, and natural beauty of the Western Ghats.

Temple provides accommodation at very reasonable price. You will find many hotels outside the temple. There are free accommodation also if you choose to stay in dormitory. Better to be there before 5 pm so that you will get rooms easily.  You can book the room online also.

It is a very famous temple in Karnataka and many people visit there every day. Mostly people prefer to eat free food (prasad) provided by temple. Out side temple within a kilometer you will find many restaurants.
