Sri Mahalakshmi Temple - Goravanahalli (Karnataka) :

Sri Mahalakshmi Temple is a very famous Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Lakshmi. It is situated in a village called Goravanahalli which is in Tumkur District (Karnataka). Temple is around 70 years old but deities are being worshiped since centuries.

There is a story about maa Kamalamma who found this place very positive and auspicious when she was in a trouble. She started worshiping there and she got power to feed any number of people who was visiting there. People started believing and today many people visit there for blessing.

Entry Fees:  No for general darshan but during rush hour you can opt for special darshan by paying Rs. 50 per person.

Buses: The nearest main bus station is in Tumkur which is 29 km from the temple. It is well connected with other Indian cities. From Dabaspet also you will have many options like Bus and Autos.
  
Airport: The nearest airport is Bangalore (113 km) Airport is well connected with other Indian cities. You can catch an either bus or hire taxis to reach Bangalore and then to Temple.
 
Private Taxis: You will not find any taxy there. Government buses runs there but frequencies are very less.

Accommodation: 
You will find accommodation inside the temple campus but you have to have prior booking. If you are looking for luxury stay then there is a lodge on the main road which is 500 meters from the temple. You will find many accommodation in Tumkur which 29 km from the temple. 

Food & Restaurant:
It is in a remote village and you will not have much options. Small shops are available where you can get limited food items. Good part is temple authorities provide free food to all.
